Not everyone knows that Ai-generated music just became more impressive in quality to an unbelievable extent. Don’t be fooled if you’re used to hearing the fuzzier, more robotic songs from earlier on.
I’ve shocked and mesmerized people by sharing the Ai songs I made, which soon got them addicted too. It’s your turn to become the most popular person at the party.
You may think you can master it on your first try, but there are some tricks to use and traps to avoid. I’m going to teach you how I get the lyrics, the music, a simple default music video, and a more professional music video.
You may check out my Best of Ai playlist to give you a taste of what Suno Version 4 is capable of to start.
How to Make Song Lyrics Using Ai
I used chatgpt.com to generate the lyrics. As of this writing (2025), they do not claim ownership of your content.
You should tell it to: write a song, the tone you want it to have, and be specific on the genre. Is it pop, rap, country, a musical?
Example: Write me a hilarious rap song about _____.
Next, it’s best to pile on what you want mentioned in the song. The more specific details you put in, the more delighted you should be with the end result, that is, unless you want to depend more on the Ai to write something good.
Example: Please mention _____, _____, and _______. Include _________.
Is there something specific you want to include in the chorus of the song? Add that in your prompt.
Example: Include the phrase “_______” in the chorus.
Do you want any interesting twists at the end? Mention that too. You can suggest what the twist is or let it decide.
Example: At the end of the song, put in a surprising twist, which is ________.
Once you submit it, check out the results. You can edit it in a Word document if needed. You can also redo your prompt more than once to see what it comes up with. Maybe you’ll want to mix some lyrics from the different versions together.
When you’re done, you might have to take out the words that label each part of the song, like intro, verse, hook, chorus, bridge, outro, etc. However, it seems like Suno Ai is smart enough to know not to sing those labels if you include them in [brackets] like that.
I have seen some people insert musical directions within the song lyrics using those brackets as well. That is something else you can consider as well. The Marionette’s Requiem by Fox Grey ( fantasy music) has this at the beginning.
Example from The Marionette’s Requiem: [Music box melody, eerie harpsichord, soft whispering strings]
How to Make Music Using Ai
Sign up for an account at Suno (link in final paragraph). There are other Ai music generators, but this is the one we’re working with this time.
❗ First thing you should do is change your username or else the default one sticks with your songs.
❗ Only use version 4 at least. Look out for better versions they offer in the future. Lower versions sound like the old lower quality Ai music.
❗ If you make any songs under the free version, you don’t have full or commercial rights according to the terms and conditions. Terms and conditions are different from copyright rules, if you’re thinking that doesn’t matter with Ai. It’s only $10 per month and you can pause it.
Choose the style. Consider things like genre, male or female vocals, and you can add an artist you want it to resemble. Some people pile on a lot of genres for one song.
Example: Punk rock, anthemic pop, energetic metal, male vocals
Once you submit it, it will generate two versions for you. You can regenerate it even more times as long as you have enough credits. Determine which version you like the best.
You can choose to make the song public afterwards. You can also create a playlist and add it to it.
How to Make a Simple Music Video Using Ai
On Suno, you have the option to create a simple music video of your song, which is easy for sharing on social media. As you can see in the example above, the video is your song playing while showing the image for the song (Ai generated or you can choose your own), the lyrics showing up in a sing-along fashion, and some color changes in the background.
Here’s how to download yours: click the three dots when viewing’s your song’s page, and then click Download, and then click Video.
How to Make a Professional Music Video Using Ai
Do you want to make a more professional-looking one like this one I made above? Well, it might not be 100% professional-looking since I don’t have a cinematography degree and this is the first music video I ever put together, but you get the idea.
Unfortunately, there does not appear to be any good and popular Ai music video generators out there to do all the work for you, so this will be more hands on. However, some or all of the individual video clips can still be Ai. There are both free and paid ways to get these clips.
Paid Video Clips (Which I Used)
Sign up for Adobe Stock to find and download video clips for your song. Feel free to use Ai clips or non-Ai ones. When I was making this video, I had a running lower-paid superscription, so I had a lot of unused credits I was able to use for no additional cost. I did have to pay for a higher tier subscription to finish it though.
❗ You will be required to give credit to the platform and creator for each clip you use. You will see how I did it at the end of my music video.
Free Video Clips
You don’t have to pay for video clips like I did. You can search for platforms which offer free video clips.
You can take out your camera and record your own video clips if you’re feeling creative.
Another way is to use Bing Image Creator to generate static images and then put them in a program like Runway to animate them. If your image is a human or animal, they provide an option to make it lip-sync to your song.
Video-Editing Software
Sign up for Adobe Premiere for video editing software. They offer a free trial too. There are other options, but this is what I used.
It can be a little tricky at first, but asking ChatGPT questions about this program helped me.
Some tips to keep in mind:
🎬 When uploading a video clip, it may take a while to appear. I am not sure if this was because I was trying to upload it right after I downloaded it from a video clip platform or not. A trick was clicking on a different folder on the leftward sidebar and then clicking back on the folder it’s in again to have it appear.
🎬 Each video clip is its own sequence, but there will be one sequence where you put all your clips on in a linear fashion.
🎬 Click on the ungroup icon, which allows you to move individual clips without them being grouped together if needed.
🎬 The razor tool slices the clips in the timeline so they’re separated. This makes it easy to delete footage at the beginning or end of a clip if needed.
🎬When you want to export your video in the timeline with your main sequence:
- Starting Point: Place the play head at the desired start location in the timeline and press I (for “In”).
- Set Out Point: Move the play head to the desired end location and press O (for “Out”).
- The range between these points will highlight in the timeline.
🎬 In order to export it at the end, choosing 16 and 4K worked for me, but another combination did not. You may have to ask for help or try this until it works.
It’s Music-Making Time!
I hope this helps and encourages you to make your own music. I could make entire albums of my own Ai music and listen to them continually. I hope to make lots of glorious songs related to the fantasy novel I’m working on in the future.
